WHAT's INSIDE?

New City Magazine - June 2008

Cover: CHIARA

Chiara. Simply Chiara. It is the title on this issue’s cover. This is a special issue, as we want to remember the founder of the Focolare, who passed away last March 14. Here we outline the life, thought and work of a woman universally appreciated. To everyone she was, in fact, simply Chiara. It was not necessary to add anything else to her name. In times when, submerged in a complex world, we look for a keyword, the word Chiara (meaning clear in Italian) best defined her personality, her vocation, and mission. In these pages, many people can testify how the encounter with her and her words have clarified minds and inflamed hearts.

Humble beginnings that were destined to develop into a Movement that bears the hallmark of a work of God.
